There is an option for knob orientation. Choose what knob orientation your stove has, Vertical (upright where you push the knob “IN”) or Horizontal (laying flat or almost flat, push knob “DOWN”) Once you choose an option you will see a picture that is an example of the vertical or horizontal orientation.
Please read this document for sizing of BurnerAlert and stove knob spacing. Sizing Document. BurnerAlert disc is 66mm or 2-5/8” diameter. Some stove knobs may not have the minimum distance between knobs for BurnerAlert to fit properly.

BurnerAlert Compatibility
Check Compatibility with your stove. BurnerAlert needs to be free of obstructions such as rings around the knob or depressed areas under the knob. See photos below. Also see removing rims tab to allow BurnerAlert to fit.
Can I Remove Rims? YES!
If your stove has rims (bezels) you may remove the rims to allow the BurnerAlert to fit. The rims can be re-installed if needed. Below is a video showing one type of rim being removed. The example below shows the general technique to remove the rims. Contact Matt at BurnerAlert if you have more questions.

Turn up the volume and click play.
The BurnerAlert was designed to emit audio and visual alerts anytime the stove knob has been turned “ON”. If the knob is turned “ON” the BurnerAlert is working, whether the FLAME is ON or OFF. The alerts are a preset sequence of audio beeps and visual blinks. The sequence of alerts will continue until the knob has been turned to the “OFF” position. The beeping intervals occur at startup and then at 3 minutes, 9 minutes, 15 minutes, and then every 15 minutes until the knob is turned OFF. The blinking alert occurs every 7 1/2 minutes. Each beeping alert is a series of 3 beeps repeated 3 times followed by 30 seconds of blinking.

BunerAlert Frequency of Beeps and Flashings
The BurnerAlert beeping does not occur all the time. The beeping has set intervals. Once you turn the knob towards the “ON” position the BurnerAlert begins to work. You will hear 3 short beeps and see 3 blinks, then at 3 minutes you will hear 3 sets of 3 beeps followed by 30 seconds of blinking, then at 9 minutes you will hear 3 sets of 3 beeps followed by 30 seconds of blinking, then at 15 minutes you will hear 3 sets of 3 beeps followed by 30 seconds of blinking, and then every 15 minutes you will hear 3 sets of 3 beeps followed by 30 seconds of blinking. Also every 7.5 minutes the BurnerAlert will blink (no beeping) for 30 seconds. After the initial 15 minutes the sequence will continue every 15 minutes until you turn off the stove burner. When you turn the knob to “OFF” (vertical orientation only) the BurnerAlert will blink once.
Important Sizing & Video Demo
For all BurnerAlert customers, please note that the BurnerAlert disc diameter is 66mm. Before you purchase please confirm that you have at least 70mm between the centers of each adjacent knob. BurnerAlert will not fit on stoves with less than 70mm center spacing between knobs.
